Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency—tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people—was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows.
With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives.
They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order.
Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love.

In the roughly 2.16-minute-long trailer shared by the streamer is high on the action with Chopra Jonas and Madden’s characters thrown into some precarious situations as they deal with remembering who they were in the past.
Citadel plot
Citadel is a global spy agency but the six-part story starts by following Laszlo Milla (Roland Møller), the lead operative of Citadel’s rival intelligence agency after his release from Citadel’s detention facility.
He’s seeking revenge on the man who caught him — special agent Mason Kane (Richard Madden) — and wants to bring down Citadel for good.
The story jumps forward eight years to show that Citadel has been destroyed by an organization called Manticore.
Mason and another agent Nadia Singh had their memories wiped, have been living separate lives, but are soon reunited by Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci) and set out on a wild mission Secrets get revealed from about the pasts of each spy as they carry out their job to take on Manticore.
