He tweeted and wrote, “Today we inaugurated Kangana’s studio ‘Manikarnika Films’. Kangana will work as a producer and director and Akshat will look after the legal and finance departments, taking a film making course at the New York Film Academy.
Akshat Ranaut is Kangana’s brother. Kangana directed her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi with South Indian director Krish and also took credit for it. Both Kangana and Krish were targeting each other during the release of the film. Due to this, the film was also in a lot of controversy. In a series of tweets, Krish left the film in the middle and he also commented a lot on Kangana’s direction.

As soon as the film earned Rs 100 crores, Kangana spoke to Mid-Day, in which she said, “Nothing gets more than success. If this film was bad then these people would not take it hands-on. These are the people who left it but it’s a good thing that we made a clean film, no one accused me of playing with history. I did not see any negativity associated with it outside the film industry. I am happy with the reaction of the audience.
Kangana will appear in Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s film Panga, in which she will be seen as a kabaddi player. Kangana is also shooting for her Tamil and Hindi film Thalaivi, in which she will play the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
